Starting in the 2023–2024 school year, OGCS will launch an exciting new approach to learning by incorporating activity-based experiences into each school day!
Core academic instruction will take place during the morning hours, while the afternoons will be dedicated to bringing those lessons to life through hands-on, indoor and outdoor activities. Research shows that time spent outdoors offers significant benefits for children—and we’re embracing that truth! Students will explore the world around them through daily experiences like gardening, recycling, composting, and even filling bird feeders. Our team of educators and administrators is thrilled to begin planning this whole-child, experience-driven model of education—where learning is active, engaging, and rooted in the joy of discovery. |
