At Oak Grove Christian School, we believe caring for children means caring for the whole child — mind, heart, body, and spirit. Mental health matters, and no family should feel alone when facing challenges such as anxiety, depression, grief, stress, or crisis situations. This page is designed to provide helpful resources, warning signs to watch for, encouragement, and trusted support options for families and students. We believe seeking help is a sign of strength, not weakness. As a Christ-centered school, we also believe true hope is found in Jesus. Through prayer, community, wise support, and compassionate care, healing and hope are possible.

Prayer and Encouragement Corner
Heavenly Father,
We come before You with humble hearts, lifting every child, parent, teacher, and family member who may be carrying silent battles within their mind and heart. You see what others cannot see. You know every fear, every tear, every racing thought, every sleepless night, every hidden wound, and every burden too heavy to explain. Lord, we ask You to cover those struggling with anxiety with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. Quiet the racing mind, calm the pounding heart, and replace fear with trust. For those battling depression, shine Your light into the darkest places. Break the heaviness, lift the fog, and remind them that hope is still alive. Let them feel Your presence even when emotions say otherwise. For those facing trauma, grief, loss, or painful memories, bring healing to places that still ache. Restore what was broken and comfort what still hurts. For those wrestling with anger, emotional outbursts, mood disorders, confusion, or instability, bring balance, clarity, and self-control. Set minds in order and emotions in peace. For those who feel trapped in addiction, self-harm, eating disorders, obsessive thoughts, panic, loneliness, or shame, we ask for freedom in Jesus’ name. Break chains that seem impossible to break. Replace destructive patterns with healing and strength. For those carrying ADHD, autism, learning struggles, sensory overwhelm, or minds that feel different from others, remind them they are wonderfully made with purpose and value. Help them thrive in the way You created them. For those facing suicidal thoughts or believing the lie that they are a burden, we rebuke that darkness in the name of Jesus. Speak life louder than despair. Send help quickly. Surround them with people who care. Let hope rise again. Father, we pray against every spiritual attack, every lie of the enemy, every assignment of confusion, fear, torment, isolation, division, and destruction. We cancel the voice of darkness and declare that no weapon formed against Your people shall prosper. Let Your truth overpower every lie. Fill homes with peace. Fill minds with clarity. Fill hearts with courage. Fill relationships with patience and understanding. Fill weary souls with rest. Teach us to reach out, to listen, to love deeply, and to seek help when needed. Let no one suffer alone. Jesus, be near to the brokenhearted, strength to the weary, healer to the hurting, and hope to the hopeless. We place every burden into Your hands today.
In the mighty name of Jesus, Amen.
